Phantom Tollbooth Audition Details

Hello students and families,

Here is the information about what to prepare for The Phantom Tollbooth auditions. Please read the following information carefully. Auditions are February 26 from 9:30am-12:30pm.  As sign-ups for the auditions are still open, we will let you know next week what time you need to be here. Call the Education Office at 847.577.5982 x221 or email Amy at acornelius@metropolisarts.com to sign up for the auditions or with any questions!

To be eligible to audition, your student needs to be registered for classes or lessons for the Spring 2012 term.

The director asks that you prepare for the audition in 2 ways:

IMPORTANT:

Grades K-2 do NOT need to prepare any of the sides. They only need to come ready to answer questions about their made-up, magical land.

1. Come in with a short story (that you make up) about a magical land of your choosing. Think about what your magical land would be like, what and who would be in it, what is special about your land, ect. Be ready to present and tell the director about your magical land. Use your creativity and imagination!

2. The director would also like you to pick ONE of the follow sides and make a strong choice about the character indicated. The bigger, the better. The director wants to see bold character choices that embody the magic and imagination in the story.

SIDE 1: Please prepare the “Clock

SIDE 2: Please prepare “Dischord”

SIDE 3: Please prepare “Mathemagician”
